Who keeps track of half-finished buildings in your county?
Writing from Antalya, so this is an outsider question.
We have a lot of unfinished blocks along the coast. Construction stops somewhere around the third floor, the owner disappears, and the building just stands there for years. The municipality keeps a list, but it is not public in any useful way, so if you want to know who is responsible you ask around and hope.
Reading through the land bank pages here, it looks like the county holds a real register, with parcel numbers and status attached to each one. That is the part I have no equivalent for.
Two questions from someone who only watches this from outside. Does the register cover structures, or only land? And when a building is unsafe and the owner cannot be found, how long does it normally take before the county can act on it?
I ask because on our side the honest answer is depends who you know, and I keep looking for places where the procedure is written down instead. If anyone here has been through it as a neighbour rather than as a buyer, that is the version I would like to read.
